When using any cosmetics, foundation is an essential product to help create a canvas for the rest of the makeup. Foundation, such as Babor Foundation, covers imperfections and minimizes redness or discoloration so the skin looks flawless and well cared for – many foundation formulas also minimize other signs of aging, such as wrinkles.
Before applying the Babor foundation, a concealer is an ideal product to use to hide dark circles under the eyes, redness around the mouth or nose and cover up blemishes or imperfections. To hide areas of redness, a green tinted concealer balances out redness to create a flawless look under foundation. Use a concealer brush to dab cream onto the skin and lightly brush in to blend seamlessly. Yellow concealer counteracts dark circles under the eye or areas of dark pigmentation. After applying concealer, massage a primer into the skin. Primer is ideal to create a smooth application of Babor foundation – it fills in fine lines and wrinkles, hydrates skin and illuminates the face for a rejuvenated look.
Apply the Babor foundation using a sponge, brush or fingers. To create an airbrushed look, moisten the cosmetic sponge before applying foundation – it will help the formula spread well over the skin and avoid that caked-on look. A foundation brush is often the most recommended choice for all-over coverage and helps ensure complete coverage. If you choose to use your fingers, warm the Babor foundation up between the fingers and gently tap into the skin. In order for complete coverage, the foundation must be liquid.
Once the Babor foundation is applied to the skin, set it with a light dusting of translucent powder. Translucent powder keeps the makeup from fading throughout the day or night and helps minimize shine or creasing with the makeup.
